Had the same problem but couldn't get it repaired. Had to have Hunter make a new one for about five hundred bucks.

and, which steps are you referring to ??? ...
the folding SS steps that go into the water, or the fiberglass hull steps ?
Not sure what problems you are having, but in November 2007 Hunter sent out a "Owners Notification" for the Transom Steps on the new 45 CC's. It consists of extra SS brackets, and bolts that are bolted on to the existing SS frame, and help to support the steps. Go to the Marlow / Hunter Website and click on "Owner Information" then on "Product Notifications'
