Hello all, i need your help. i purchased a 1973 Macgregor Venture 21 recently that came with a 1970, 1971 montgomery ward sea king 5hp motor. No fuel tank was given to me with the sailboat so I have no way of connecting a fuel line to the motor. The details on the motor tag are as follows...J500 1106B 359547 60 27005. Search on the internet gave me the details on make and year of the motor. I can not find any information about this fuel line connector anywhere on the internet. Its as though sea king made one engine with this connector, and I ended up with it. if anyone here can guide me on where i can find one of these, I would be VERY gratefull. (see pic)

picture is a bit blurry.... try a search for johnson motor fuel connectors. for several years it was a joint venture, johnson/seaking and then it was a joint venture between johnson/evinrude. so dont rule out the early evinrude connectors.
try searching google "images" to see if you can find something that matches...

Thanks centerline, I will give that a try. I guess sea king was made by gale, then clinton, then chrysler.....all who have closed doors 20 some years ago. Really having a tough time with this one. Do you think I could bypass this connectioin and replace with something else?

absolutely... if you have no love for nostalgia when it comes to fuel fittings, replace it with a modern fitting of your choice. but when changing, make sure you get a common standard fitting and not some discount part that you may have this issue with again later.... find out what size the fuel line is and get a fitting sized for it.... and the mating fitting for the fuel hose:D
