hey guys,

im almost ready to drop her in the water.. sent the prop out to get reconditioned and the boatyard said it had a crack in 2 of the blades close to the hub :( not good... so .. they told me it is a 16" 13 pitch .. so before if bought new I thought id check out the salvage sites online.. and.. I found one for $95 .. and its a right with a 1" bore...which leads me to the question....

is this the one I want??

boat is a '99 352..

thanks

jason

I would call Beneteau in Marion with your hull number. They'll give you the specs on prop size, pitch and rotation. Yards have been known to be wrong. Also double check shaft diameter with them to make sure it's not metric.

Mine is a right hand prop which kicks the stern to port when reversing in a slip.

One inch (25mm) sounds like a small shaft for your 35? Also look at Baconsails.com for their used ones.

Shaft Diameter

All Beneteau's, French or US built, come from the factory with metric shafts. Our B352's have a 25mm shaft unless somebody changed it since it was built.

Factory prop was a 3-blade 16" x 13" pitch. One day, after I win the lottery, I will replace it with a Maxi-prop feathering prop.

Go for the Max-Prop! PO put one on our '98 352 & it's great! Nearly no prop walk in reverse.

I agree on the MaxProp. Put one on our boat a few years back and have no regrets. Yes, cost a little bit more, but very happy with it.
