I just bought a Mac 22 and need sails for it. Looking mostly for the main sail to get started, I'm a new at this. But I'll consider anything you've got. Also need a set of spreaders! post here, email me or text me at 828-356-4136

Main Luff 21.30
Foot 9.20

Jib Luff 25.30
foot 9.20

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Purchasing on ebay is safer but when looking for sails if used, It is much wiser to deal with a sail loft who has been around a long time. It is hard to really determine the quality of sails from photos alone.

SBO Classifieds- Gear is a good place to look for sails and to post a wanted ad.

I don't know what your main sail needs are but I have a used main for a Mac 26s. Needs a headboard put on it. It's a bolt rope luff and foot. Looks like it was a Mac specific sail. Otherwise it's in fair to decent shape.

I have a Mac 22 and I need the main sail but probably different dimensions. I need 21'11" luff and 9'1" foot.

Do a search for discount and used sails. I found a few sites that had MANY sails in the $200 range for my 25 footer. Many were in excellent or like new condition. If I only had an extra couple of hundred smackaroos hanging around, I'd have a new A-sail, well, like new.

I would hold off until you pull the trigger on the mast and erect it. Once it's in place get a good measurement and remember to leave room for stretch.

I have stumbled upon minneys and they have a few sails that will work! Thanks.

Is there a rule of thumb for including stretch into the measurements for sails? I'm just going in the IPEJ dimensions and my own measurements...
