My fabricator lost my table top for my 1971 Catalina 22. Does anyone have the exact dimensions so I can make a new one? Does anyone have one for sale?
I would appreciate any help. I have nowhere to set my coffee down.

Thanks in advance

Check out catalina 22 forum, look up Going big Progress Summary on page 4. Not sure all cat22 from early 70 to early 80 are same. I am very new myself. Great thing is plenty of people on here willing to offer advice. Best part its free. But then again old saying Opinions are like a#%holes, everybody got one. Just joking. This really is a good site with lots of good people willing to help us newbies.

I bet you could ask Chris Patterson in the Catalina 22 forum to make you a paper template. The table is NOT square, it is angled slightly.

Good luck, I would do it myself, but my 22 has been sold.

BUT, the new owner is looking to sell, tow vehicle is too small. So if y'all know anyone in the market for a freshly restored 22...LOL

Re: table top Catalina 22 exact dimensions

Thank you for the dimensions. I went to the sailboat club here on my lake yesterday and got in one of the fleet cat 22's and took the measurements myself.

Thanks again for the help.

Why would you tell me that?
Because I was told you were busy but that you would eventually get to me. But before you responded to my request my neighbor, who runs the fleet, came by and we went over and measured a table top.

I told you I appreciated your help in my answer to your initial feedback. I don't understand why you would ask me this?

What was wrong with telling you that?

Again, Thank you and I am sorry if I wasted your time.

McDonald,

I'm missing my table also. I really needed those measurements also. I'm refurbing a 77 and I bought it with no interior.

Thanks,
Dave

Good luck. I am going to make mine out of teak. I have just enough scrap teak to make the table. I was originally going to have it fabricated out of granite or engineered stone but I was told it would be to heavy. Teak is relatively light and it will look good. We are day sailors so we probably will not have the table up. In my 1971 cat 22 the top lays between the seats to form a bed so I will probably keep it down and store things under it.

I made a table top last week out of some leftover pine boards. I used cheery stain. It matches pretty well.

Thanks for the Picture. I am in the process of finishing mine. I had to countersink my screws since my contact glue would not hold the teak to the base. I had to make dowels. I am having fun finishing this. It is taking longer than I thought but I am retired and Its to cold to sail.

Life is good..
