Yes, I wish that the loopholes allowing Japan to capture and harvest whales were closed but

Sea Shepherd's boats, trying to thwart refueling attempts, had been trailing propeller-fouling ropes when the collisions occurred.

seems to be part for the course in the group's attempts to disrupt the Japanese fleet. Like it or not, the whaling ships are operating legally and the Sea Shepherd boats are not. Makes for good TV, I suppose, but perhaps their efforts are best spent on the legislative side.

I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
I wish that they would close the loophole. Whaling was an important trade in the past, but times change. The rest of the world is with the program, I guess peer pressure isn't working too well.

The fact of the matter is that there is a market..If they could not make money at it there would be no market thus the reason we don't use VCR tapes anymore. Same with illegal immigration they always try to stop the worker from coming over when the real problem is the companies and people employing them. Workers come for "WORK" penalize the companies and make they won't hire illegals problem solved

Sea Shepherd is lucky to be dealing with civilized countries.

Maybe they should go protest the fishing overpressures off the coast of Somalia.

Perhaps they might find out some real truth on the Seas.

Unitl then, go for tougher legislation., unless you want to declare jihad on the whalers, in which case you might be labeled a terrorist.

Oh. wait.

I think they were already labeled.

Note to Pacific Northwest Whale jihadists in puget sound.

1) Keep your dinghys off others peoples boats,
2) Do not throw any material (Warnings, brochures, instructions, weights, etc) from your vessel onto any other vessel (I may just drop my sharpened 66 lb anchor through your hull).
3) Do not try to board anothers vessel.
4) IF you see something you dont like, report it to the coast guard.

Compliance with the above rules should result in preservation of your inflatable vessels.

Some of us dont care for piracy of any kind.

why do we americans just naturally assime that our beleifs apply to the rest of the world.especially off the wall countries with living conditions and cultures that an american can not even comprehend.what would you think if India started a major campaign to stop the slaughter of all animals for food in the US, you would think they were nuts and have no right sticking their nose in our affairs, let them kill their whales, the've been doing it for centuries and it's no different then slitting a cows throat and butchering it.

I don't get it. Is that a Jesus reference or a Star Trek reference or what?
