I have a perkins 4108 in my '85 Irwin CC. I believe it is the "modern" version of the 4108. Where the heck are the zincs? I have looked all over and cannot find any on the engine. Does this model have a place for zincs? Steve
I belive the zink on my 1980 4-108 is located in the rear port side of the engine, If you want I can take a picture of my 4-108 where the zink is located
Thomas- Thanks for the reply. I feel pretty dumb but I had a guy on board who works for West Marine and he couldn't locate the darn zinc either. I would expect to find it on the rear port side as you said where my heat exchanger is located but no go. A picture would help me a great deal if you are willing to go to the trouble.
