ARE ZINC'S ON THE PROPELLER SHAFT REALLY NEEDED? I KEEP MY 2000 340 ON A MOORING FOR THE SEASON. EXCEPT FOR 2 OR 3 WEEKENDS AND A BRIEF STOP AT A DOCK TO WASH DOWN AFTER SAILING IT IS NOT ON ANY ELECTRICAL HOOKUPS. DO I NEED TO PUT ZINC'S ON EVEN WITH THE GALVANIS ISOLATOR?

You bet

I wouldn't run without them! I put 2 on every spring we spend maybe 6 or 8 nights per season on the dock and the zincs are totally destoye every year. Why wouldn't you want to put them on? It's cheap and easy.... Scott

Since zinc's only cost about 8 or 9 bucks each, I'd call it cheap insurance. Since I assume that you already have them installed on the propshaft check their condition when the boat is hauled this fall. If they are in good condition, leave them. If they are worn, then they are doing their job and should be replaced. Good luck!
