I have an O'Day 34 which I recently purchased and would like to know if anyone knows if there are sacraficial zincs on this boat and if so where would they be located. Also is it neccessary to install a galvanic isolator to prevent corrosion if you have zincs installed?

There is a pencil zinc in the heat exchanger (port lower side of the unit) and one on the prop shaft. I highly recommend a galvanic isolator in addition to the zincs . They work on different corrosion sources. Zincs work on the salt water or any water with dissolved minerals that the boat is sitting in, and the isolator works on the current on the boat due to the electrical system(and sharing said system with everyone on the dock).
