I own a 1973 Albin Vega powered by a Volvo MD6A with a Combi drive,
(vairable-pitch prop). This installation has NO available shaft nor
prop screw available to mount a zinc on.
I am experiencing electrolytic deterioration on my lower rudder-post
pivot and hull-valves. I don't know about the internals of the
engine. I believe this could be alleviated by proper zinc
installation, but I have heard horror stories of others who have
caused all kinds of problems by improperly installing zinc anodes.
