Zinc in a hot harbor

My 2004 H386 just passed it's 2nd year in the water so I figured it was time for a haulout. Was I surprised when I saw how badly the prop had pitted and been etched even though I had been religous about replacing the two zinc balls on the prop shaft every 3 to 6 months. At the suggestion of the folks in the boat yard, I am going to try using 3 balls and hopefully I can nurse along what's left of the prop for another year or two before replacing it. I have dock power to the boat 24/7 because I run a dehumidifier and a deep freeze/refrigerator. I know that probably contributes to the problem but where I keep the boat is pretty notorious for being "hot". I just had no idea how hot! I just thought I would pass this along in case someone out there might be lulled into the thought that nothing is going on because there is some zinc down there.
