:doh:Help...We have pulled off both pairs of the inner/lower shrouds off the mast of our 1981 H-33, before we realized that each pair was not identical in length!! It seems that one of each pair, is about almost 2 inches longer than the other in the same pair.
Now we don't know the sequence to re-attach to the mast.
Is the longest one of the pair attached to the forward-most connector on that side of mast, or to the aft-most connector??
Can anyone help clear up the correct sequence??
The mast is off as we are in the boatyard.
Any help, suggestions, advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Bob

(and yes, we are going to label everything before removing from now on...)

I can't say for sure but my guess would be the longer shrouds would be forward to accommodate the several inches of mast rake needed to properly tune the rig. You may want to post this question on the Cherubini Hunters forum.

2" longer inner shrouds?

Yes, I suppose the rake argument makes sense. Thanks for the reply. If I don't hear much more here, I will take it over to the Cherubini forum. I have at least a couple weeks before the replacement shrouds show up.
cheers
Bob
