I am looking at a 19' Macgregor that the owner claims to be a 1987 model. The pictures provided appear to be a Powersailor of '92 to '94 vintage. He says he bought the boat from Macgregor used in '95 and the title indicates it to be a 1987 boat. Are there any identifying numbers that will allow one to determine the actual year? Does it have a hull serial number anywhere? Sincerely, Roger Moncrief

Check the HIN

Check the hull number,,the last 2 numbers and letter is what the year and month it was made,,It may have been made in 86 and titled as a 87...

Malcolm & Darlene, Thanks a lot for your quick response. Could you please tell me where the HIN is located? I'm pretty clueless about these things as you can tell. BTW, my research indicates that the Macgregor 19 Powersailor wasn't manufactured until 1992. That's why I'm very confused about this 1987 19' Powersailor. Roger

The HIN is on the stern to the upper right,,,OK,,,what and why is it a "power" sailor...and do you have any pics of it ?The HIN will not tell you what model it is unless you contact MacGregor.
