I have an early H28.5. The pedestal's "!plastic!" housing thru which the throttle lever's axle travels, broke/cracked. It just busted out of the whole that holds the axle which takes a lever mounting for the cable on the inside. Are these "housings" available anywhere or do I need to try super glue it, then drill in to make a stud - then reinforce the fitting with some fiberflass screening and pack it with autobody filler. Anybody have this happen to them and what did you do??

We're not ignoring you, it's just that your

system seems unique. Mine is aluminum, not plastic. Never heard of a plastic YS lever system.

See if this helps

Ceck the link out. It goes to a thread in the archives. Its a similar problem and includes a source for the new part, but its expensive. Please report back on the outcome.
