I had the unfortunate experience of hoisting my main only to have it jam and sighting up the mast extruded track I noticed a dent in the track from handling damage. I hoisted myself in a bosuns chair and carefully pried the damaged area out so the mainsail slides will hoist okay. I have seen a lot of yard damage from handling and just wondered if a future survey might see how widespread the problem is. I now leave my boat in the water (wet stored for winter) to avoid unstepping my mast and preventing the yard from banging the hull around. After three years I hauled it and this is what I get for results. Dave
