Yanmar Zinc Replacement

Has anyone changed the motor zincs on 2GM20F? I am afraid I need to but not Siri I can get them out. Seems as if they could have found some more convenient locations to place those things. None the less my cress is that mine are long gone. Are they pretty critical, guess they would not be replaceable if not.

The one on the right side of the motor almost seems as if the fuel pump needs to be removed.

No zincs on that engine .. Internals are in anti-freeze with corrosion protection and the metallurgy of the heatex tubes and the shell are compatible.. Keep good antifreeze in it and it'll be fine.

Fantastic thank you. Thought about it after changing cooling water and antifreeze, and was critical of myself for not thinking ahead.

On to my next project.

Does anyone know if this is also true of the ym15 Yanmar as well? Had been wondering about this as well?
