Yanmar Serial Number

Hello all,

Switching insurance carriers as current company is exiting marine market. New company is requesting engine serial number. I have never seen this, however on the engine tag it does list Engine Number E00812. I would assume engine number is the serial number??

Do you have a Valvo D2-55 engine? Check your engine manual for nameplate location. If so, this site shows the various engine nameplate and where to find the engine serial number on it: Volvo Penta Marine Serial Number | Information Decals | Volvo Penta

Sorry about the reference to Volvo...should have rechecked the title but same goes for Yanmar.

No problem..... Yes I have the data of the engine plate. No mention of serial number.... Just engine number.

Yes, the engine number is the serial number. The engine plate on mine has the model number (3YM30), followed by the engine number that begins with prefix “E”, same as yours.
