Does anyone know where I can buy Yanmar spare parts in the Seattle area? Onlione or at a store. Most places I have found online will not ship to Washington state. Thanks, Phil

Welcome to Yanmar marketing Phil

Forget shopping on-line. Competition is not allowed. Find a local dealer and pay retail. But, be sure to ask for a discount. You might get a token deduction. And you could also shop for John Deere tractor parts if what you need is not part of the marine specific components.

Used to be Cascade (I think)

But they won't sell to a small business now unless you buy large numbers of parts. They are protecting their market at the expense of the little guy. When I needed a part last year, I got very different quotes from the same company. From company to company I got prices from $85 to $450 for the same item. Soon, they may want you to fill out a credit app before they tell you a price.

Gallery Marine

For parts in the Seattle area, you want Gallery Marine. Cascade Engine Center, south of Safeco Field, is a distributor only and does not sell retail. Gallery is just west of the University Bridge on Northlake. You can order by e-mail or fax if you know exactly what you want, and they will ship to you---very friendly, helpful folks. I called Cascade for a part this week.

No go. They are a distributor only now. They had several subs. I went with Marine Engine and Equipment. 206-286-1817. Mark in parts was helpful and sent the part right out at a fair price.
