Instrument panel was damaged and am now looking to replace the plastic face plate only. Old Port in Newport, RI has the B version except it doesn't have the "pull cable to kill the engine". Do other Hunter 34 owners have the pull cable located in another location or is it supposed to be on the panel and I only have to drill the face plate to accept the cable? Thank you, Randy

1. Have you checked with Mack Boring?
2. Have you considered relocating your fuel cut off to another location. The cut off is what usually destroys the face plate.

I managed to get the plastic face plate for mine from Boatswain's Locker in Newport Beach, CA (phone 949-642-6800). I think mine might be the same as yours. If so, it is part number 128170-91010. If not, I suspect they would have whichever one it is that you need. For me the cost was $28.51, purchased a little over a year ago.

Yanmar Marine has geographical territories, so he would not be able to purchase one from a West Coast Distributor/Dealer.

I checked with Mack Boring and Torrenson. MB referred me to Old Port and Torrenson no longer ships parts. Steve, I agree with you on the reason the plate gets damaged. Poor location for the kill cable to be protruding out like that. I was hoping other 34 owners might give me an idea where their fuel cut-off is mounted, if not on the panel. Thanks, Randy

People have said they mount the shut off cable in the fiberglass next to the panel.

I re-mounted mine on the fiberglass to the left of the panel as you face it. Much better as it is about 1/4 in thick. I used a couple of large ss fender washers -one inside and one outside-and 4200 bedding compound to seal it. Much better
