Hello, I have a 2002 Hunter 356. I need to replace the fuel water separator cartridge. Stock OEM was a Yanmar pt # 4230B/4231. I have searched everywhere with no hits. I’m totally with a cross-reference replacement of another brand. If there are any sailors that have a purchase source or alternative brand option …I appreciate your info.

So you have a Yanmar fuel water separator 4230B. Same question came up on this thread Yanmar 4230-0100 Filter Cross-Reference? | Sailboat Owners Forums Your local chandlery may be able to source you a compatible Yanmar cartridge from another manufacturer. If you do an internet search on "racor r20t diesel spin-on ff/ws" you can find them at a cost effective price. You can buy the R20 with 2, 10 or 30 micron filters.

Those filters are nothing more than Racor filters with a Yanmar logo. They are 30 micron so a Racor R20P filter is what you want...
