Yanmar 60 HP Changing th oil

I recently purchased a 420 Passage and it has a Yanmar60 HP. My question is how do you change the oil? I could not find a drain plug.

There isn't one

the common method is to remove the oil through the dipstick tube.

Ditto on the Topsider. I've also used...

one for years. A bit pricey but well worth the no mess no fuss process. Our P42 came with a 4JH2-TE Yanmar with the oil filter on the starboard side of the engine, horizontal mount. The P42 has no starboard engine access, so changing the NAPA filter is a bit of a challenge. I use a gatorade plastic bottle with the top cut off that fits nicely over the filter to catch oil drips as I spin it off.Terry

disposable baby diapers work really well under the filter when changing it. They absorb a lot without making a mess when removing them. Some of us have access to the adult version, Depends...LOL!!!
