Yanmar 4JH5E Control Panel

We have a Yanmar 4JH5E with a Digital C Type Panel. It seem that recently the digital hour indicator has been working intermittently. Sometimes it reads and others it does not. Has anyone experienced this before? Has anyone had to replace the panel? My manual is at the boat so it is not available. Any information would be helpful.

Thanks Rick! I just assumed that I was the lone ranger with this problem and never thought it was a "global" issue. Awesome information and I think I may just have to try it.
