For those of you following the Yanmar 4JH3E heat exchanger saga (there are 2, engine and transmission with no zincs) please advise me on not having to mortgage my future to purchase the Yanmar housings et al $$$$$$$ because of pitting even when the tube bundle is fine. This is very frustrating but I will JB Weld the existing cooler housings to stop small leaks at the end caps if it can save the $4000, but I am going to try the local radiator shop and try to have them machine the sealing surfaces after cleaning. Does anyone have experience or an opinion on this issue, it would be very appreciated.
