Yanmar 3GM 30 wiring harness / smart chrgr/ alt.

Greetings from the golden islands of Georgia,
We are currently upgrading our charging system with a 140a. ElectroMax alternator, and Balmar smart charger.
In the photograph below you can see, with the comment and the arrows, the connections in question. Any input is appreciated.

Here is what I did with the wiring harness, wires in the engine compartment.

HI there I am having the same issue ! I also have a 3GM30F with an Electromaax 140A alternator. The Sterling external regulator we bought with it just quit.

Electromax sold me a Balmar external regulator as a replacement but I have no information on how to connect the Balmar to the Electromaax alternator.

I just sent them an email today asking for a wiring diagram to connect the two together. I'll post it on here as soon as I get it.

Right now we are leaving for the Bahamas and have had to use the Electromaax internal two stage regulator until we get the new diagram and the time to install the Balmar.

We had a great trip to the Abaco's. Boat sailed very well and was quite comfortable, met lots of interesting people, great food, good rum was only $9 a bottle .

I never did hear back from Electromaax support. John is a great guy and does his best but does not get support from his engineers. The have a great product. I did get it all sorted out thanks to Balmar. Very happy with our setup now.
