Has anyone engineered or found a cheep replacement for the hose that comes off the mixing elbow part#724770-13200, I’m looking to replace part#23072-204000 HOSE, 20X4000. I broke it while replacing the mixing elbow and the only replacements I can find are 690.$ and I can’t believe there’s not another way to pipe out this wet exhaust

One end is 2inch and connects to the mixing elbow off the exhaust manifold the other is 1.5 inch and connects to rubber hose leading out of the boat

The high cost is probably because you're going from 2'' to 1 1/2. You might try installing a short piece of 2'' exhaust hose to the mixing elbow and jury-rig it to a reducer from 2'' to 1 1/2. A plumbing house should be able to fix you up with a copper or bronze one for a decent price. Then use 1 1/2 hose in whatever lenght is needed.

I found an aluminum reducer that I thought may work, any issues with aluminum in a seawater exhaust system?

I would worry about fairly quick corrosion. Hopefully others will chime in on that issue. Assuming you have a water lift on the exhaust line, could you rig it to accept 2'' hose ? A 2 '' proper exhaust would only cost you a few dollars per foot.

I am surprised that your exhaust hose is 1-1/2". Most are 2" throughout. You could (at great expense) make yours 2" throughout although you would have to replace the hose, muffler and through hull. I would do that before paying $690 for the adaptor.
