Yanmar 2gmF zinc(s)

The Yanmar service manual indicates the use of zincs on a raw water cooled engine. The 2gmf uses a heat exchanger so the raw water only passes through the heat exchanger.

1) I assume that means the engine uses plugs in place of zincs.

2) Shouldn't there be a zinc on the heat exchanger? there is none show in the manual.

i have had mine all apart and couldn't find any at all and there have been several threads on here about this and it always comes up none on the f model

No zincs.. Exchanger is made of components that are not very prone to electrolysis.
