I have a yanmar 2gm20f. I want to install water temp and oil pressure gauges. The pluges on the engine are english threads. I need to know what size they are so that I can get an adapter up to National threads. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

English? Really? All the bolts, plugs, threads, hosebarbs, etc. are metric on my 20GM20F. I don't remember the size, but I installed a temp guage and it was "standard" (ie I didn't need any kind of adapter). I think the oil pres is a bit more complex.

My 2GM20F yanmar also has 'english' threads on the plugs. The engine serial number begins with an "E", which denotes the block is European made. My local Yanmar dealer helped me locate a proper-sized 'english' thread hose barb for the heater hose outlet on fresh cooling water pump I replaced. Suggest asking your local Yanmar dealer or industrial hose company.
