I have noticed posts regarding the starter button working intermittently on vessels with the Yanmar 2GM engines. One of my customers had the issue and I resolved it by discovering a fuse holder taped to the wiring harness between the connectors( by the gear box) and the starter. When I opened it the fuse actually fell out! Replaced it with a new fuse holder and problem solved. Hope this helps others with the same problem.
