I have a 1991 Hunter 27-2 with the 1gm10 engine. The starboard rear mount appears to have deteriorated and looks to be partially collapsed. This mount appears to be attached to a mounting bracket held by two bolts into the rear of the engine. Instead of lifting the engine why can’t I simply prop up the corner of the engine, remove the two racket bolts then remove the mount bolts from the stringer and slide the whole assembly rearward. Install the bracket on the new mount in the same position as the original and reverse the process to install it. Those two bracket bolts worry me on that they may serve another purpose on the interior of the engine or something else

Go with the easiest way. You’ll need to realign the motor regardless. That corner is low so setting up the new one at the originals height will get you in the ball park but it will need to be raised. The challenging part it the alignment. If a mount is collapsed to where you can notice it, the rest need replacing in my opinion.

Any leaked fuel on the that particular mount ? That is what took out the same rear strbrd mount for me 10 years after I bought the boat new in 1998. I still have the originals in place and they are still at their original height. If there is no obvious reason for the failure, you may need to replace the others before they all fail together while in use .

Good advice here. If you are going to mess with one mount, while you are at it you may as well replace the others and then do the alignment. I doubt the bolts that attach the mount to the engine have any other purpose.
