I've got an '84 Yanmar 1GM7 (6.5 hp) on my OD 26. While motoring back to the mooring last night the motor began to lose power and slowly the RPM's began to bog down. I was able to shift it into neutral and rev it back up so it did not stall, but it still would only manage about 12-1400 rpm in neutral and barely 700 rpm in gear. I sailed into the mooring in neutral and am wondering what's up. The boat's been in the water about 3 weeks so I don't think the prop is fouled w/ barnacles yet. Could there be too much winter stabilizing stuff in the fuel? Lastly it got new fuel and oil filters prior to being launched this season. Any thoughts? Thanks, Greg Joness/v Encore
