Hi All,
Can anyone give me a recommendation for length, diameter and brand of line/best source to use to replace my Yankee (jib) sheets. Current sheets seem to be at least 5/8" in diameter - seems excessive.
Thanks as always for your help,
Jim

Well, I just went through my pile of boat bills, because I replaced the yankee sheets two springs ago, and...I can't find the bill (of course). I am 99.9 % sure it was 90' of rope. I have my sheets as one continuous piece, doubled and looped through the clew. I stuck with the 5/8" standard dacron braid (i.e. NE StaSet) because I like the feel in the hands. Smaller (1/2 or 9/16) is probably fine, since the Yankee is a pretty small jib really.

My sheets, pictured drying on the porch, are also New England Sta-Set. I went with two, each 45', one with green fleck the other red. But mine are 1/2".
