Xantrex trucharge2 40 amp charger problem

Noticed that the charger will charge up my bank but then returns to what could be described as stand by
I have to unhook everything and do a reboot to get it to start charging up again
Anyone know of a fix for this??
Xantrex didnot know of one just said to reboot

The answer is on page 29 and 30 of the manual. If the charger is set to 2 stage charging once the battery is at float, it will shut off. If in the 3 stage charge mode, it will shut off after a while. When the battery voltage drops below a certain level the charger will start again and it will turn on every 7 days otherwise.

This feature likely puts it into compliance with the California Energy Conservation (CEC) law. Once the battery is fully charged, the charger is no longer necessary and it shuts off to conserve energy. If the voltage drops or there is a large energy demand then the charger comes back on and cycles through the charge stages.

My TrueCharge 2 stays at float, around 13.3, for 7 days. After that, if its power hasn’t cycled it goes back to bulk briefly.
I did have a Truecharge 2 fail after 6 years and act kind of like you describe. It would work fine in bulk and stay at float for a little while, then just stop charging. I disassembled it and two capacitors were fried.
