Clearly haunted. 2007 H 44DS with xantrex charger/inverter, has always worked fine. However, the last 2 times I used generator, ALL the lights on the remote panel keep flashing rapidly. The AC output from generator is fine, the DC output from the charger is fine, in fact it works entirely normally except for the flashing lights, fully charges batteries in usual amount of time, which are in good condition. Any ideas? I can ignore it, but is it trying to tell me something?

Flashing Lights

What exactly is the remote panel, Link 1000, Link 2000? Did you try to reset the remote panel?

If I remember correctly when all lights on the remote panel are flashing, isn't the unit in the programming mode? Don't have a owners manual in front of me at the moment. If it is indeed in the programming mode, what happens if you try to press one of the programming buttons?

Not sure why it would go into that mode but trying to program might help. I'm curious to know what you find out.

It is a Xantrex Basic Freedom remote. I have the owners manual. I was also wondering if it could be in programming mode, but the manual clearly states that it will automatically exit this mode in a few seconds if no buttons are pushed, and it has been powered on and off at least 3 times. Most remarkably, though, is that it is working perfectly, as far as I can tell, except for the display. Brings to mind what the guys on Car Talk say about dealing with warning lights on the dashboard by putting tape over them. I can certainly ignore it, but is it trying to tell me something?
