My newly installed Xantex LinkLITE battery monitor is always giving me a reading of -1.1A no matter what I have running. Can anyone give me any ideas of what might cause this?

Thanks!

You may have a parasitic draw. Take a DVM put it on the 10A range and insert it between the pos battery post and the pos battery cable. If you still have the -1.1A you need to find it.DO NOT turn anything on with the DVM inserted between these points or you will likely blow the fuse in the DVM which can be a PITA to change

If the reading never changes from -1.1A then it is; A) Not installed properly B) You are looking at the Ah screen not the "current" screen..

Turning items on & off should change the reading from -1.1A..

Hard to really say. What is your battery set up, how is it wired, what is the setting that is giving you the reading etc.

I have a LinlLite with 2 house and 1 Aux. battery and has worked well for several years.

Check the manual, functions, backlighting. The specs indicate minimum draws when the unit is on with backlighting.
