on my RV forums I am starting to see a lot of posts on a new lifepo4 battery being made by xantrex for the RV/Marine market. Anyone have any experience? (Maine Sail???)

The battery in that system is a Lithionics the (Li3) is the giveaway. Best to look into the marine version called the OPE-Li3 a partnership between Ocean Planet Energy (Bruce Schwab) and Lithionics.. In my opinion it is the best and safest LFP house bank being built right now. The marine version is extremely well executed & designed. With LiFePO4 you definitely don't want to cut corners..

Thanks, I will look into them. I am also interested in LiFePO4 for my motorhome. It is a bigger energy hog than my boat by far. I currently have 6 316 amp golf cart batteries and would like to increase the capacity and decrease the recharge time given that I have a 10kw genset I have plenty of AC for recharging. Any suggestions?
