The MH-40 I recently purchased has the built in oil change system. I have been told that it is difficult and/or messy to use and I'd be better off just using a manual oil extractor like is available at West Marine. Unfortunately, I gave my old one away when I sold the old boat, because I knew the new one had the build in system.

Just wanted to get feedback from any of you that have used the built in system that are on many of the larger Hunters.

My 41 DS is equipped with this system. Works great! Have had no problems. Just remember to open valve before turning on pump.

Congrats on the 40! We met last fall at the dealership when you were deciding which one to buy. Please PM me about your question; I know two folks who have a MH40.

It works great and neatest oil change ever. I can't imagine why anyone would say discouraging things about it. We have friends who have a 2007 38 and they had lost of trouble with leaks where the system connected to the engine. So many that they had the marina remove it. Haven't experienced that myself.

I heat the engine, open the valve, flip the switch and pump out the oil. Change the filter and then put hose into a container of new oil flip the switch in the reverse direction and it sucks the clean oil into the engine. No mess no fuss.
