WYC has the largest number of woman racers of any club in the USA, and we actively promote ladies to race and drive. A whole series is dedicated to it, but sadly we are up on our First 36.7 to much to compete. But this year we were down in town during the Buoy Cup, a single race for a trophy. So we rounded up our bowman and a few friends, and entered. Pia drove and I took over main. A CRAZY day in the bay with 20+ knots and a W/L 3 1/3 course. SEVEN legs! Huge shifts and puffs. We battled to the end vs our nemesis Cleo (Kirby 25) and in the end we get them by 10 seconds. Big Day! We score glassware today, trophy at the fall banquet.
