Hey all, we recently purchased a 1994 Hunter 29.5. The dealer thought the control lever was installed wrong, however it doesn't seem new and seems to have been like that for awhile (The boat was on the hard for a couple years and then the dealer bought it, fixed engine, painted bottom and put her in the water last summer.)
The control lever is a Seastar Solutions MV-3. It is installed vertically which seems to be a no-no from the manual. Since the engine is winterized it's hard for us to play with it right now. When we bought the boat we did turn the 18HP Yanmar 2GM20F on and went over everything but we were not able to head off the dock. He did put it into gear and it did rev, but he said he didn't like the control lever.
We got it at a low price and expected some things like this but we are wondering if it is something we have to fix immediately or is it something we can get around to eventually.
