Wrap stop screw

Our wrap stop is missing a “bolt”, which explains why it rotated itself the wrong way. Do you know whether this is a M6 or M8 and how long? I broke a second similar one (i.e., a “machine screw”) while changing the furling line and misthreaded it while reattaching the furling mechanism. Would it be the same type?

Would it be inappropriate to ask what make and model furling unit you have. Because then you could check the owner's manual, call the manufacturer or contact a local dealer. If you strike out there, it looks like matching the nut size is more important.... Buy both sizes if you're unsure.
