If this is in the wrong place sorry! I've always wanted to live/work aboard a sailboat/yacht and I was wondering if there were places that hired or traded work for room and board. I have little sailing experience but what I have done really makes me want to try more. This is a long shot I know but maybe some sort of group where I can dive or take people diving...? I'm just looking into it right now, I still have another couple months before I can go anywhere. Any and all help is appreciated, thanks!

The Chapman School of Seamanship in Port Salerno, Florida is a great place to get an education, experience and job working onboard sailboats and motorboats. They have several programs that are 6+ weeks long that teach you everything from navigation, helmanship, maintenance, seamanship, etc. with a great job placement service. I understand that their certification can get you a job onboard a corporate luxury yacht, windjammer, or any large vessel where well trained crew are needed. I will assume you work under the Captain and can work your way to Captains License. Look em up on the web. Goodluck Bob
