I have not used a working jib on a furling system before and I want to
bend it on for the upcoming season of strong winds. Normally I have
the genoa bent on but it really does not set too well when it is
partially furled. I vaguely remember on my previous Vega (no furler)
that there was a short length of wire attached to the tack of the
working jib that enabled the peak to reach the top of the forestay. I
suppose it also enabled the foot to clear the pulpit. Does anyone have
a similar arrangement?
