I am trying to run the lines aft to the cockpit, but my plan runs the lines right through the wooden risers that support the traveller. Has anyone ever taken these off? Are they one peice or are they wood wrapped around a metal of sort? Has anyone tried this before and what did they do? Anyone have better ideas? BTW, I own a Catalina 30 (1982 Sail#2441) Thanks in Advance!

They are great folks and make most if not all of the hardware on Catalinas. They have upgrade traveler kits. Bill or Guido will have your answer.

Wooden risers

Sean: They are solid blocks and are through bolted on. I think there are 2 bolts on each. It takes two sets of hand - one outside and the other in the cabin to remove the bolts. The blocks are easy to remove but personally, I would not remove them. If I wanted to run a line through them I just drill through them.
