Wooden Hatch Covers

Has anyone tried making hatch covers out of wood or seen some examples you could point me toward. Thanks,

The guy next to me has a wood hatch cover. I'd post pictures if I had them. Maybe he used the wrong material but dang it's embarrassing.

Yes them old plastic hatches on the Cherubinis are all about gone. With replacemnts being so costly and requiring fitting work I think a wooden hatch is a perfect alternative solution. http://www.diy-wood-boat.com/Fore_Hatch.html If well made they do not need to look unsightly. Try these folks.

Benny Thanks, just what I was looking for. And you are right. My original hatch covers were so broken that after painting her head to toe I refused to put them back on. And I have more time than money so I though making some would be an interesting project for the winter.
