I have received the "bolt-on" metal spreaders to replace the old wood spreaders on my 1983 Catalina 30. I bought them from LSI to avoid the problem I've heard about with the piece inside the mast. Before I mark and drill the new metal spreaders using the old wood ones as a template are there any other concerns I should be aware of. I DONT want to make a mistake.
