I've just finished cutting all the wood to enclose the cabin on my Oday Mariner. What is the best way to go about protecting the wood? I've been told to first stain it, then epoxy it for waterproofing, then varnish for UV protection. Any words of wisdom out there? Thanks in advance, Chris

Chris - I would do exactly that. First stain the wood to a color just lighter than you eventually want. Then mix up some West System epoxy with the Special Clear hardener and epxoy coat. Finally, varnish. You'll get a great, low maintenance finish that will look great for years. Justin - O'day Owners' Web
