I'm trying to locate a good spot to mount a bracket for an auxiliary 4HP Sailmaster on my 1986 O’day Daysailer. I was thinking a wood-locating diagram would be helpful. If anyone could provide a link or something a little more substantial I’d be eternally grateful! I've also posted this and other queries on the BOAT/US forums, not much in the way of replies there. Maybe I'll have better luck here?

see mine!

This is where I mounted mine, with 3" ss bolts and ss acron nuts holding a 1/2" thick plywood plate sheathed in fibreglass cloth. See the image entitled 'inside transom'. Click on it for a larger image. I only used three bolts and one of them was an eye bolt so that I could lock the motor clamp to the eyebolt with a padlock for theft protection.
