I have a 2003 386 with a Raymarine C70 chartplotter at the helm, radar, autopilot, ST60 wind, speed and depth. I wanted to connect AIS and DSC at the electical panel where my VHF is located. The chase hole at the base of the pedestal is so full of wires that I don't think I can get another one through let alone the four for AIS and two for DSC (all 18 AWG). Can anyone think of a solution or work around?

If you are talking about the hole through the boat, just drill another one. I had to for all the wiring I added.

Your Pain

Same thing on my 2007 H-36 has all the bells going through the one available stainless pipe but I was able to add one more small wire with grease and that was it and that's why I dare not try to add anything more and really impossible with all the wires already in the pipe.
The only way is to run wires on the outside with maybe a nice tube and try hiding it but thats it for sure and going down under the floor not a problem, good luck if you find a way let us know.

Run a 3/4"-1" SS tube along the side of the pedestal pipe. Make a hole on the instrument cover for cable entry and cut a slot (not a hole) at cockpit floor cover (this cover is for the steering arm area) so that the floor could be remove without removing the tube/wiring. Stand-off the tube from pedestial pipe with home piping stand-off brackets. Dress the cables at both ends of tube with flexible plastic conduit (white color) and gormet. It'll look great.

All of the wires at my helm go up thru the pedestal. Compass light, wind speed, power and A/P compass wires stop there. instrument wires go out of pedestal thru a conduit up to DF/ boat speed combo from Raymarine.

Project this summer to add a tall crash bar, single lever throttle/shifter from Edson and a nav pod. Will have Fuse block/ negative strip in nav pod, so only one power wire from "instrument " breaker on panel. DF wires and W/S wiring will probably continue up thru pedestal and conduit to nav pod. Throttle and shift cables will go up starboard leg of crash bar.
