Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 23? I would like to get the masthead lights working before I launch. Is there an easy way to check if a bulb fixes a problem without putting the mast up first?

Mast head lights

I made an extension cord to plug into the deck fitting and the wire coming down the mast so I can check the lights before I raise the mast. I also use a meter to check everything else. Be sure to check for battery voltage at the deck fitting.

THE 12 VOLT BIBLE is a wonderfull book that will explain many things relating to boat systems.How circuits work,how to test them,etc. You asked about a schematic. This book will help you draw your own. In my own experience ,the previous owners of my '22 pretty much butchered the electrics,and neglect did the rest.So I re-did it all.I dont know the condition of your boat,but re-doing the wiring with new connectors,new switches,new nylon tie anchor points epoxied in place,etc. made me very happy.I have specific accesories (VHF,Stereo,Fish Finder,12volt to 110 inverter etc.) that I safely added to my boat without any schematic.If your boat is brand new,there will still be somthing you will want to add or modify.This book will help you do it. You have a masthead light that is out? If you change a bulb and it still dosnt come on,clean the contact points.The eraser on a pencil is good for removing corrosion,so is fine sand paper.
