Just purchased a 1984 Hunter 34. The previous owner has created a rat's nest of wiring by adding and removing components with little or no regard to safety. I plan on rewiring all of the 12V systems. Are there original wiring diagrams available? Can they be purchased?

Ed:Best bet is to contact another 34 owner if you can. I'm betting that the original owners manual has the wiring schematic. Another alternative is to contact Hunter's Parts Department for the manual (at a cost!).Good LuckPAT

We have an original wiring diagram for a 34' 1983...Should be close to the same...the diagram only lists basic wiring and dosen't include things like specific lights, etc...can copy and mail to you...email me at sailcommonday@aol.comRichie

for a 84 34. My hull # is 542. e mail me to make arrangements & I can fax, mail to you. My boat was pretty much in original condition. Previous owner didn't add much but did keep it in excellent condition. (paulsails@juno.com).Good Luck,PJ
