Does anyone have some tips on running the coax cable for a VHF back to the galley area on a Hunter 22. Most interested in best method of a waterproof deck penetration and disconnect. Also, how best to run the cable through the overhead or down the mast support column.

VHF

I ran a VHF on my H240 which I located on the back side of the steps that come down the companion way. I ran the cable down the mast. Drill a small hole at the base of the mast and in the deck close to the compression post. I put a conection so the mast could be stepped without problems. I ran the cable down the compression post and hid it with a piece of teak channel. I then drilled another hole at the base of the floor pan and ran the cable through the bilge are. One more hole to bring it up through the double berth at the base of the companion way step. Its worked great for 2 years. I was able to purchase all the parts at Boat US. Dont know if this will help, but I think the H22 is similar in construction. Good luck
